Weekly Term Time Kids Yoga Classes

Weekly Kids Yoga Program during School Term Time. Classes run for 45 minutes and are suitable for children aged 5+. They'll practice techniques to build self confidence, learn calming strategies while improving coordination.

Time: Thursday afternoons, 3.30pm - 4.15pm

First class: Thursday 30 January (Week 1)

Last class: Thursday 3 April (Week 10)

Cost:

$260 for the 10 Week Program

$140 for a Pack of 5 Classes

What will kids do during yoga classes?

Kids yoga builds confidence, self esteem, physical strength and teaches strategies to cope with stress and anxiety. Being able to teach children breathing and calming techniques at a young age will set them up so well to deal with anxiety and stress as they move into high school and their working years.

 

In my classes, children learn breathing and calming techniques as well as yoga postures. I teach this through yoga sequencing, games, partner work and group activities, incorporating breathing, mindfulness and meditation/relaxation. We sometimes use the wall to learn more difficult postures, experiment with essential oils (which helps with breathing techniques) and create positive affirmation statements. We have lots of laughs along the way too.

  • Encourages healthy sleep patterns with the practice of relaxing the body and lengthening the breath.

  • Increases confidence with speech in interactive parts of the stories and improves vocal ability as the voice is exercised in tandem with postures.
